Another weekend is coming up with beautiful weather! Here are some super fun events happening this weekend in Northeast Louisiana. Fun fall poll at the end of the article!
Thursday, October 19
Join the ULM English Department at Standard Coffee Co on the third Thrusday of every month from 6pm-7pm for Brew and Bards! Writers from the local community and the university are invited to read their work. Enjoy a cup of coffee while you enjoy local writers!
Friday, October 20
Head to Krewe of Janus Float Den from 6pm-9pm at 901 Louisville Av for Octoberfest 2023! For only $20, participate in the beer tastings and try various German foods!
Saturday, October 21
Spend another beautiful Saturday morning at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge for the Fall Celebration! From 9am-2pm, there will be tons of fun activities for the whole family! Educators will be present to share information on local wildlife! The winners of the 2023 Photo Contest will also be on display.
On the way to the next event, stop by Alley Park on Trenton St in West Monroe for Fall Market on the Alley. From 10am-3pm, there will be local vendors, food trucks, and live music!
After the fall market, head to Ike Hamilton Expo on Mane St in West Monroe from 10am-3pm for Touch-A-Truck & Trick or Treat presented by Families Helping Families of NELA. This event is for children of all ages and is a fundraiser to support families of children and adults with disabilities. Halloween costumes are encourged for trick or treating and there will be different firetrucks, dump trucks, ambulances, tractors, police cars, and big rigs!
Rollin' on the Riverfront is back from 5pm-8pm at the Downtown River Market. There will be local vendors, live music, art, and a mocktail-cocktail competition!
Sunday, October 22
Spend your Sunday evening listening to local musician Cal Presley at Flying Heart Brewing & Pub in West Monroe. Starting at 6pm, watch the live music while enjoying yummy pizza and beer!
