Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe 🍕


I tried this recipe for the first time this past week and it was delicious! One batch is enough for two people! I made the mistake of making two batches, but we did have extra for the next day. Anyway, here is the recipe for homemade pizza dough!

Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour (divided)

  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp italian seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Whisk together 1 cup of flour, the yeast, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and italian seasoning in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Add 2 Tbsp olive oil and the warm water.

  3. Mix well and gradually stir in another 1 cup flour. Stir until the dough forms a soft, elastic ball. Only use the remaining 1/3 cup flour if needed.

  4. Prepare a large, clean bowl by brushing with olive oil.

  5. Transfer the ball of dough to the bowl and turn once so that the dough is lightly oiled on all sides. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place to rise until doubled in size, about 30-60 minutes.

  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down then transfer to a floured surface and knead for about one minute until smooth.

  7. Roll the dough into a large circle, then placeon a pizza pan. Poke the dough with a fork all ver, then brush with olive oil.

  8. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Top the dought with your desired toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes.
